Methodology

Each course is scored from 0 to 10 on five criteria, each with a weight of 20%. The final score is the average. The weights are public and apply equally to all courses.

Assessment status

The current scores are provisional examples, not verified assessments. They are not based on player reviews or Leading Courses. The current order does not establish that these are the 100 best courses in Spain.

We first cross-check the identity, course and access conditions on official websites. When information is missing, we consult other sources such as Leading Courses. Each listing identifies its sources and the date they were consulted; unconfirmed details remain pending.

A visitor booking does not turn a private members club into a public club. Rates require a date, season and conditions; we do not use invented prices. Any future estimate based on reviews will be identified as such, without assigning scores to criteria that the source does not assess.
